650 Parts on a V-Star 1100

I have a tip for you on the passenger floor boards.

I had a 1999 650 Vstar and I had some toy's added to it, back rest, Leatherlyke bags, driver floor boards. I traded it in on a 2002 1100 back in Nov 2001, I really liked the toy's I had on the 650 and didn't want to have to go get them again so I made a few adjustments to them and they are now on the 1100 and look as they should.

I had driver floor boards by Yamaha on the 650 that are now on the rear of the 1100,by putting the right hand side floor board on the left rear side and filing about 1/8" off the top of the mounting block and drilling a new hole in the mounting block they fit right on and the passenger thinks they are great as they have a lot more room to move their feet and the cost was only the time to make the mods. also I have the back rest and saddle bags from the 650 modified to fit on the 1100 as well.
